No COVID-19 deaths Monday and active cases again go down

No COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Monday and the total remains at 44. The number of active cases dropped by 20 today and stands at 1199.

Total positive cases increased by 40 to 4027. The number of people who have recovered is 2784 and current hospitalizations are 77. The “ever hospitalized” category is at 316. Some 25,018 total negative tests have been reported in the state.

Brookings County remains at 14 cases with none of them active. There have been 502 negative tests reported in the county.

Brown County is the third county in the state to hit 200 cases. Many of those cases are tied to the DemKota Beef Plant in Aberdeen.
