Name released in Friday’s fatal motorcycle crash near Brookings

The South Dakota Department of public safety says it was a Watertown man that was killed in a Friday night motorcycle crash east of Brookings.

Fifty-two-year-old Gary Goblewas driving a westbound cycle on U.S. Highway 14 when the vehicle drifted off the roadway. The vehicle went into the north ditch and went airborne.

Goble was thrown from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a helmet.

The Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
