Watertown High School moves to temporary online instruction

Watertown High School is switching to an online learning schedule for the rest of this week, effective today.

Superintendent Dr. Jeff Danielsen says it’s due to a rising number of COVID-19 cases among students. Danielsen says there up to 20 cases with more than 100 close contacts and a number of students still awaiting contact tracing. He hopes this is a short term interruption of classroom time.

Danielsen says all extra-curricular activities for grades 7 through 12 are suspended for the week.

He’ll says they’ll make a decision on resumption of in-person classes later this week.
