Two people facing drug and child neglect charges in Roberts County

Two people have been arrested and charged in New Effington, South Dakota on drug and child neglect charges.
A search warrant carried out by the Roberts County Sheriff’s Office earlier this month led to the discovery of methamphetamine and marijuana.
Roberts County residents Latisha Stavick and Shawn Scott were both charged with ingestion of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, three counts of abusing or neglecting a child, having a child present where methamphetamine was being used and possession of marijuana.
There were three children living in the residence.
