Two COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Friday. The statewide total is now 2522.

Active cases in Brookings County increase by 96 to 573. One-hundred-ten new cases reported Friday, raising the total to 6176. Recovered cases are at 5562. There have been 41 deaths reported in Brookings County. The County is in the “high” community spread category.

Statewide, active cases increase by 1572 to 15,927. Total cases increase by 1944 to 189,411. There are 170,962 recovered cases. Current hospitalizations decrease by four to 301.

Sixty-eight percent of the state’s eligible population has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
