SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) – Two brothers from Sioux Falls are accused of kidnapping a teenage boy and threatening him at gunpoint.

Police say the 17-year-old boy was sitting in his car at a stoplight Saturday about 2 a.m. when a 19-year-old man jumped in, pulled out a gun and told him to drive. The boy drove to another intersection where he and the man struggled over the gun.

Police spokesman Sam Clemens says the victim ejected the magazine and threw it out of the window. The man got out to retrieve the magazine and that’s when his 23-year-old brother showed up and told him to shoot the victim, who drove away.

Police don’t know why the 17-year-old was targeted.
