Three people hurt in Saturday accident near White

Three people, including two young children, are injured in a single-vehicle accident that happened about a mile-and-a-half south of White shortly before one o’clock Saturday afternoon.

Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring says an SUV headed north on 478th Avenue lost control on a slippery stretch of road, lost control and went into the ditch. The vehicle hit a field approach and went airborne before coming to rest.

The vehicle was being driven by 27-year-old Anthony Dempewolf of Brookings. He and two passengers, four-year-old Tierrien Dempewolf and and two-year-old Theedrick Dempewolf, were all taken by ambulance to the Brookings Hospital.

There is no word on the extent of their injuries.
