Three COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota this week

Three COVID-19 deaths reported Wednesday in the Department of Health weekly update, the statewide total is now 3049.

The state has changed the reporting method and no longer reports active or recovered cases.

There have been 631 new cases statewide in the last week and hospitalizations have increased by one to 63. There have been 263,468 total cases.

In Brookings County in 2022, there have been 10 new cases reported in the last week, raising the yearly total to 3,123 cases. There ahve been 14 deaths in 2022. One person is currently hospitalized in Brookings County for COVID-19.
