Three COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota as active cases climb

Three COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota today, raising the total to 946. None of those deaths were in Brookings County.

Active cases in Brookings County have increased by 16 to 471. Total cases are up by 19 and now sit at 2,448. There have been 16 deaths in Brookings County. The “ever hospitalized” number is at 81. The County is in the “substantial” community spread category.

Statewide, active cases increase by 254 and are at 17,184. Total cases have gone up by 564 to 80,464. The number of people who have recovered is 62,334. Current hospitalizations have gone up by 2 and are at 546.
