Thousands still without power this morning

There are still thousands of South Dakotans and Minnesotans without power this morning because of the massive winter storm.

Sioux Valley Energy this morning reported more than 5000 customers without power, most of those in Minnehaha and Lake Counties. There were about 45 without electricity in Brookings County. Sioux Valley brought in contract lineworkers to assist their crews.

Southeastern Electric Cooperative was reporting more than 500 customers without power.
