Snowmobiles and trailer stolen from Brookings storage facility

Brookings police are investigating the theft of a trailer and three snowmobiles.

Lt. Joe Fishbaugher says police were called to the 300 block of Railroad Street at about 6:40 Monday morning.

A blue Ford F150 extended cab truck with a topper and a white stripe on the side was seen hooked up to the trailer and leaving the storage facility. The truck was a late 90’s or early 2000’s model.

The snowmobiles and trailer are valued at $20,000.

Brookings Police remind people that if you have a trailer in storage, remove the hitch if possible or place a secure device on the wheels so it cannot be moved. Make sure all your items are secured, and that you maintain consistent checks on your property.
