Six COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Friday. The total is now 1853. One of the deaths is from Brookings County.

Active cases in Brookings County decrease by 5 to 84. New cases increase by 4 to 3552. There have been 36 deaths in Brookings County and there are 3432 recovered cases. The ever hospitalized number is at 122. The County is in the substantial community spread category.

Statewide, active cases decrease by 40 to 2028. Total cases have increased by 148 to 111,018. The number of people who have recovered is 107,137. Current hospitalizations decrease by 1 to 91.

Some 172,804 vaccinations have been administered in the state to 116,143 people. A total of 4403 doses have been given in Brookings County to 3035 people.
