Sioux Falls police say a man tried to hit officers with a motorcycle

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) – Police in Sioux Falls say a man tried to hit officers with a motorcycle.

Several officers were helping with traffic control outside of a bar early Sunday when they heard someone revving a motorcycle.

Police went to speak with the motorcyclist, who allegedly hit one officer in the leg before swerving at them and driving away. The officer did not need medical attention. The cyclist returned and swerved at officers again, telling them he would kill them.

Police tracked the motorcycle’s owner down and determined he was not the person who had been riding it that morning but had loaned the cycle to someone else.

Police arrested the 31-year-old suspect at a friend’s house. He faces charges of aggravated assault, exhibition driving and threatening law enforcement.
