Police respond to threat at Brookings High School

On Wednesday, the Brookings Police Department responded to a report of a threat made within the Brookings High School.
The school went into a shelter-in-place out of an abundance of caution. Police officers then verified there was no current threat at the school.
Follow-up was conducted by the School Resource Officers and the individual responsible for the threat was identified and charges are pending.
