Brookings, S.D. – Oct. 8, 2019 – Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Specialist Dr. Kristen Jost, M.D. of Avera Medical Group Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation will begin seeing patients at Brookings Health System’s outreach clinic on Oct. 16. She will be available to see patients the third Wednesday of each month.

As a physiatrist, Dr. Jost is able to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal injuries and pain syndromes, including traumatic brain injuries and stroke to surgical recovery and activity-related injuries. She is able to perform electrodiagnostic studies to evaluate neurological disorders, injections for pain management and rehabilitation to restore function.

Dr. Jost performed her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital, Northwestern Medicine, Wheaton, IL. She received her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. She is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the Association of Academic Physiatrists.
