One COVID-19 death reported Tuesday; active cases fall

One COVID-19 death reported in South Dakota Tuesday. The total is now 2203.
Active cases in Brookings County decrease by five to 132. Thirteen new cases reported, raising the total to 5063. Recovered cases are at 4893. There have been 38 deaths in Brookings County. The County is in the “high” community spread category.
Statewide, active cases decrease by 140 to 5679. Total cases are up by 739 to 151,088. There are 143,206 recovered cases. Current hospitalizations increase by 2 to 195.
Today’s numbers include cases from the weekend.
Sixty-six percent of the state’s eligible population has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
