One COVID-19 death reported Friday, active cases drop

One COVID-19 death reported in South Dakota Friday, raising the state’s total to 44. The number of active cases went down by 43 to 1269.
Today’s death involved a Minnehaha County resident.
Total positive cases increased by 95 to 3887. The number of people who have recovered is 2574 and current hospitalizations are 80. The “ever hospitalized” category is at 296.
Some 23,527 total negative tests have been reported in the state.
Brookings County remains at 14 cases with none of them active.
