No COVID-19 deaths today as active cases climb; 19 more positives in Brookings County

No new COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota the total remains 167.

Active cases in Brookings County increase by 15 to 152. The overall case count is up 19 to 340. There has been one death in Brookings County and six hospitalizations. There have been 4682 total tests conducted in the county. The County is now in the “substantial” community spread category.

Statewide, active cases went up by 20 today to 2750. Total positives increase by 240 and are now at 13,749. The number of people who have recovered is 10,832. Current hospitalizations are up by two, and now total 78. Total tests conducted in the state are 194,109.

On their dashboard, SDSU is reporting 102 total active cases, 98 among students and four among faculty and staff.
