No COVID-19 deaths reported Wednesday; active cases drop

No COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Wednesday. The total remains 1844.

Active cases in Brookings County decrease by 17 to 91. No new cases which hold at 3542. There have been 35 deaths in Brookings County and there are 3416 recovered cases. The ever hospitalized number is at 122. The County is in the substantial community spread category.

Statewide, active cases decrease by 132 to 2072. Total cases have increased by 95 to 110,685. The number of people who have recovered is 106,769. Current hospitalizations decrease by 3 to 94.

Some 158,505 vaccinations have been administered in the state to 107,340 people. A total of 4262 doses have been given in Brookings County to 2922 people.
