No COVID-19 deaths reported Wednesday; active cases continue to fall

No COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Wednesday. The total remains 1705.

Active cases in Brookings County decrease by 7 to 154. Total cases are up by 13 to 3389. There have been 33 deaths in Brookings County and there are 3202 recovered cases. The ever hospitalized number is at 117. The County is in the substantial community spread category.

Statewide, active cases drop by 190 to 3238. Total cases have increased by 230 to 107,608. The number of people who have recovered is 102,631. Current hospitalizations have increased by 9 to 161.

Some 82,021 vaccinations have been administered in the state to 59,360 people. A total of 2142 doses have been given in Brookings County to 1657 people.
