No COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Tuesday as active cases again go down

No COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Tuesday, the total remains 1953.

Active cases in Brookings County decrease by 6 to 170. Total cases increase by 11 to 4113. There have been 37 deaths in Brookings County and there are 3,906 recovered cases. The ever hospitalized number is at 148. The County is in the “substantial” community spread category.

Statewide, active cases decrease by 75 to 2078. Total cases increase by 171 to 121,360. There are 117,329 recovered cases. Current Hospitalizations increase by 12 to 124.

Fifty-three percent of the state has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Some 537,631 vaccinations have been administered in the state to 317,780 people. A total of 19,720 doses have been given in Brookings County to 12,641 people.
