No COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Tuesday; active cases up slightly

No new COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Tuesday, the total holds at 1912.

Active cases in Brookings County hold at 77. Total cases increase by 2 to 3665. There have been 37 deaths in Brookings County and there are 3,551 recovered cases. The ever hospitalized number is at 132. The County has been bumped back up to the “substantial” community spread category.

Statewide, active cases increase by 38 to 2144. Total cases have increased by 142 to 114,791. The number of people who have recovered is 110,735. Current hospitalizations increase by 5 to 69.

Some 308,091 vaccinations have been administered in the state to 198,434 people. A total of 9816 doses have been given in Brookings County to 6978 people.
