No COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Friday. The total remains 2026.

Active cases in Brookings County increase by one to six. There are no new cases, the total remains 4234 but there is a decrease in recovered cases by one to 4191. There have been 37 deaths in Brookings County. The County is in the “moderate” community spread category.

Statewide, active cases decrease by 9 to 221. Total cases increase by 11 to 124,346. There are 122,096 recovered cases. Current hospitalizations decrease by 1 to 34.

Fifty-six percent of the state has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Some 670,319 vaccinations have been administered in the state to 359,119 people. A total of 27,179 doses have been given in Brookings County to 14,712 people.
