No COVID-19 deaths reported in SD Tuesday; active cases continue falling

No COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Tuesday. The statewide total remains 2742.

Active cases in Brookings County decrease by 78 to 368. There were 10 new cases reported Tuesday, raising the total to 8032. Recovered cases are at 7616. There have been 48 deaths reported in Brookings County. The County is in the “high” community spread category.

Statewide, active cases decrease by 1965 to 11,283 Total cases increase by 433 to 233,441. There are 219,416 recovered cases. Current hospitalizations decrease by 10 to 249.

Seventy-one percent of the state’s eligible population has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Fifty-eight percent have completed a vaccine series and 31-percent have received a booster.
