No COVID-19 deaths in SD Friday; statewide active cases and hospitalizations increase

No COVID-19 deaths reported Friday in South Dakota, the total remains 177.
Active cases in Brookings County increase by 2 to 149. The overall case count is up 11 to 567. There has been one death in Brookings County and eight hospitalizations. The County is in the “substantial” community spread category.
Statewide, active cases increase by 59 and are at 2515. Total positive cases increase by 283 and are now at 16,117. The number of people who have recovered is 13,425. Current hospitalizations increase by 15 to 98.
