The South Dakota Department of Transportation, in collaboration with Brookings and Volga, will hold two public open houses to inform area residents of the beginning of the Highway14 / Highway 14 Bypass Corridor Study.

The study will include Highway 14 from the Highway junction 81 south of Arlington to the junction with the Highway 14 Bypass as well as the bypass itself. It will not include the Highway 14 corridor (6th Street) through Brookings.

These open houses will be informal, allowing for one on one discussion with the study team.

A brief presentation will be given at each meeting. The purpose is to introduce the study to the public and gather input regarding the issues and needs for the future of the corridor.
The opportunity to present written comments will also be provided.

The meetings are set for June 26, at the Valley Fibercom Conference Room in Volga and June 27, at the Brookings City County Government Center chambers in Brookings. Both meetings begin at 5:30 p.m.
