South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley says the next court appearance for Joseph Gene Hoek  of Sioux Falls has been moved from Brookings to Flandreau.

Hoek who has been charged in the February Second death of Moody County Chief Deputy Sheriff Ken Prorock. That hearing is set for the morning of Wednesday, March 13th at the Moody County Courthouse.

The suspect has been charged with First Degree Murder and Aggravated Eluding. At the hearing, Jackley is expected to provide written notice on whether the State will seek the death penalty.

Hoek is being held without bond at the Lake County Jail.
