Man’s body found in Brookings

Brookings police are investigating after a man’s body was found early this morning.

Assistant Chief Derrick Powers says police were notified at about 5:30 a.m. that there was an unresponsive male on the ground in a parking lot on the 3000 block of Lefevre Drive.

Police and ambulance responded but Powers says it was determined the man was deceased.

Powers says they do not believe there is any danger to the public.

No other details are being released.
