Man rescued from icy lake in Deuel County

CLEAR LAKE, S.D. (AP) – A rescue crew help pull a stranded boater off the ice on a Deuel County lake.

Sheriff’s officials say the man was in a small boat on Lake Coteau Sunday and after started out in open water, had engine trouble and became stranded on the ice about 350 yards from shore near Clear Lake.

Codington County Search and Rescue was called to assist. The man was not injured.
