Man killed in motorcycle crash near Lake Preston

One person died shortly before Noon Tuesday in a single motorcycle crash a half mile south of Lake Preston.

The name of the person has not been released pending notification of family.

The South Dakota Highway patrol says the motorcycle was traveling north on 441st Avenue. For an unknown reason, the motorcycle and driver entered the east ditch before vaulting over an embankment.

The 67-year-old male driver was thrown from the cycle and sustained fatal injuries

He was not wearing a helmet.
