Man killed in Friday collision in Beadle County was a Huron resident

The man killed in a Friday evening two-vehicle crash in Beadle County has been identified as 22-year-old Vitelo Martin Morales of Huron.

According to the South Dakota Highway Patrol, a pickup failed to yield at a stop sign and collided at an intersection south of Huron with a a car driven by Morales.

Both drivers were taken by ambulance to the Huron hospital where Morales later died.

The driver of the pickup, 65-year-old Robert Goehring, Jr. of Huron, suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries.
