Man in custody for killing a woman in Yankton

A man is in custody in Yankton after a woman was killed.

Yankton Police on Monday responded to a report of an assault. Officers located a female victim who was seriously injured and rendered medical aid. The victim was transported to the hospital by ambulance where she later died.

The investigation led to the arrest of 31-year-old Adrian Vaughn Lund of Sioux City. He has been charged with second degree murder, aggravated domestic assault and possession of a controlled substance.
