Man arrested after barricading himself in a Sioux Falls home

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) – Sioux Falls police say officers arrested a man who had barricaded himself in a home where he was breaking windows.

Several adults and children fled from the home Sunday evening, leaving the man inside. Police say a perimeter was established and contact was made with the man. He gave himself up about two hours later.

The 37-year-old man could face charges of aggravated assault, violating a no-contact order and felony damage to property.
