Major Winter Storm Impacting The Upper Midwest

All of Brookings County is in a Winter Storm Warning until 6 AM CST 
Monday morning. Heavy mixed precipitation is expected with additional 
snow accumulations of 8 to 15 inches and ice accumulations of one tenth 
to two tenths of an inch. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

An Ice Storm Warning for significant icing has been issued for
Lincoln & Lyons counties in Minnesota. Additional snow accumulations
of 2 to 4 inches and ice accumulations of two tenths to one half 
of an inch. For the Winter Weather Advisory, mixed precipitation 
expected. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches and a light 
glaze of ice. Cities included in our listening area: Hendricks &
Lake Benton as well as Pipestone. The Ice Storm Warning remains until
6 AM CST Sunday. The Winter Weather Advisory, from 6 AM Sunday
to 6 AM CST Monday. Power outages and tree damage are likely due
to the ice. Travel could be impossible. Patchy blowing snow could 
significantly reduce visibility.
