Highway 81 to reopen Tuesday

According to the South Dakota Department of Transportation, the section of U.S. Highway 81 between mile markers 112 and 114 will reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 6th.

That’s about two weeks ahead of the originally scheduled date.

The D-O-T began this permanent grade raise on Highway 81 south of Arlington through the Twin Lakes area in April of this year. The construction project included grading, asphalt surfacing, and guardrail placement.
