Four COVID-19 deaths reported Monday; active cases climb

Four COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota Monday, the total is now 2309.

Active cases in Brookings County increase by 4 to 124. Ten new cases reported, raising the total to 5282. Recovered cases are at 5119. There have been 39 deaths in Brookings County. The County is in the “high” community spread category.

Statewide, active cases increase by 45 to 6865. Total cases increase by 415 to 162,790. There are 153,616 recovered cases. Current hospitalizations decrease by four to 230.

Seventy-one-percent of the state’s eligible population has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
