Five more COVID-19 deaths in South Dakota

Five more COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota today. The state now stands at 29 total. Twenty-four of the deaths, including the five today, are in Minnehaha County.

The South Dakota Department of Health now reports 2779 total cases of COVID-19 with 58 reported today. Of those, 773 are active cases. The number of active cases is down 29 from Tuesday.

The Department reports 1977 people have recovered and 230 are in the “ever hospitalized” category. Current hospitalizations are at 72. There have been 16,637 negative tests.

Brookings County increases by one case to 14  with one active. There have been 382 negative tests conducted in Brookings County.
