Five new COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota since Friday. The total is 1912.

Active cases in Brookings County increase by seven to 78. Total cases increase by 16 since Friday to 3,662. There have been 37 deaths in Brookings County and there are 3,547 recovered cases. The ever hospitalized number is at 131. The County is in the “moderate” community spread category.

Statewide, active cases drop by five over the weekend to 2157. Total cases have increased by 276 to 114,623.The number of people who have recovered is 110,554. Current hospitalizations have increased by two to 64.

Some 304,475 vaccinations have been administered in the state to 196,283 people. A total of 9685 doses have been given in Brookings County to 6880 people.
