Five COVID-19 deaths reported in South Dakota since Friday, the total is now 1933.

Active cases in Brookings County increase by 16 over the weekend to 128. Total cases increase by 38 to 3799. There have been 37 deaths in Brookings County and there are 3,634 recovered cases. The ever hospitalized number is at 136. The County is in the “substantial” community spread category.

Statewide, active cases decrease by 68 to 2412. Total cases increased by 411 since Friday to 117,244. The number of people who have recovered is 112,899. Current hospitalizations increase by 6 to 80.

Some 398,808 vaccinations have been administered in the state to 246,577 people. A total of 12,967 doses have been given in Brookings County to 8410 people.
