Fire destroys home northwest of White

A home is lost to fire northwest of White.

Brookings County Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring says the the fire was reported at about 10:30 Tuesday morning at 47428 202nd Street.

The White Fire Department and ambulance and Brookings County Sheriff’s Office responded to the fire with assistance from the Brookings and Aurora Fire Departments.

The fire was extinguished but the home was a complete loss. No injuries were reported.

Sebring says it appears that the fire started in the garage but the cause is unknown at this time.
