16 tons, 17 pounds, whatever. 17 pound walleye are not that easy to come by, but they record breakers. SD now has a 17 pound record to go along with Minnesota’s 17 pounder. Yes 17 pounds 8 ounces but the record from 1979 still stands. Here is the story.
