Elkton man injured in Thursday afternoon semi-truck rollover

An Elkton man is injured in a semi-truck rollover near Bushnell.

Assistant Brookings County Sheriff Scott Sebring says it happened shortly before 1:00 o’clock Thursday afternoon just outside of Bushnell on 478th Avenue.

Sebring says the driver of the semi, 54-year-old Jeffrey Paul Weber, was was heading south when the truck drifted onto the west shoulder. Weber tried to pull the vehicle back onto the roadway but the trailer tires entered the west ditch, pulling the tractor into the ditch where it rolled over onto its side.

Weber was transported by Brookings Ambulance to the Brookings Hospital Emergency Room with unknown injuries.

The Sheriff’s Department is investigating.

The Aurora Fire Department also responded to the accident.
