Drug paraphernalia stolen in residential burglary

Brookings police are investigating a residential burglary at a trailer home on the 500 block of 12th Street South.

Lt. Marci Gebers says it was reported at about 4:15 Wednesday afternoon. The owners had last been in the home the day before.

Gebers says the owners had recently purchased the home and are remodeling. In the process, they found drug paraphernalia and, possibly, a small amount of drugs. They had placed the items in a Rubbermaid container.

That container was stolen. Entry was forced through a door, causing about $150 damage.

Gebers says a suspect has been identified.
