Dellas Cole SD Sportscaster Of The Year 2017

Brookings Radio‘s Dellas Cole (DC) has been named the South Dakota Broadcaster Of The Year for 2017 by the National Sports Media Association.

The National Sports Media Association membership votes on it’s own State and National Sportscaster and Sportswriter of the Year Awards as well as Hall of Famers. From October 15-November 15, NSMA members provide up to three nominations for each category. The top two (plus ties) receiving votes in each state (plus ties) are placed on the final ballot, along with the top ten (plus ties) for the national awards. NSMA staff and board members combine to nominate the ten Hall of Fame finalists in each category. Final ballots are emailed to members on December 1, for voting through December 31.

DC’s call of Brookings Bobcat sports can be heard on K Country 102.3 (KKQQ-FM). He also covers Brookings Ranger Hockey on 107.1 The Hawk (KDBX-FM) and his Sports Show can be heard daily on The Ranch AM 910 (KJJQ-AM) at 9:00 AM.

Cole also received the South Dakota Sportscaster Of The Year award in 1996.
