City of Brookings will review the “non-essential” status of businesses

The City of Brookings has a new resource for businesses and organizations within the community who have been deemed non-essential. They have an option to have their status re-evaluated.

To request a change in status, organizations should visit the City of Brookings COVID-19 Info page at www.cityofbrookings.org and download, fill out, and submit the Essential Business Designation Request – Application.

The city manager will review the application in consultation with the city attorney and other pertinent professionals. The City will evaluate applications and provide status decisions promptly.

City Manager Paul Briseno. says they are taking steps to make sure all members of the community can have their voices heard, and to mitigate impact to local businesses as much as possible.
