Charges filed in Yankton homicide

Charges have been filed in a Yankton homicide.

Trevor Wayne Harrison of Yankton made his first court appearance Wednesday on alternate counts of first and second degree murder. The South Dakota Attorney General’s Office confirmed that the victim in Sunday’s shooting was 26-year-old Jade Rembold, of Yankton.

Harrison’s arraignment has been set for Nov. 21.

Yankton Police were called to a home at about 8:00 pm Sunday night where Rembold’s body was found.

Harrison could face the death penalty or life in prison if convicted of first degree murder.
