Bruce City Office damaged in hit and run

There is extensive damage to the Bruce City Office after a Sunday morning hit and run accident.
According to Assistant Brookings County Sheriff Scott Sebring, it happened at about 9:20 a.m.
A vehicle was heading east on Jay Street at high speed and attempted to turn north onto First Street. The driver lost control, the vehicle jumped the curb and struck the building.
A portion of a front bumper was left at the scene and there is blue paint transfer on the building.
The vehicle pushed all the way through the brick exterior, breaking through a portion of the wall.
The damage amount is not yet known.
