Brookings Safety Town 2020 cancelled

The Brookings Police Department announces the cancellation of Safety Town 2020.

Assistant Police Chief Derrick Powers says it would have been very difficult to try and maintain social distancing guidelines while running the program.

He says it was a difficult decision but they believe it is in the best interest of everyone to not hold the program this year.
