Brookings man arrested for meth distribution

Brookings police arrest a man for distribution of methamphetamine.

Police Sgt. Joel Perry says the arrest followed an investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division of the Brookings Police Department.

Perry says 50-year-old Brent Brooks was arrested and charged with distribution of a controlled substance, maintaining a place where drugs are kept or sold and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute in a drug free zone.

Brooks is being held at the Brookings County Jail with bond set at $10,000 cash.

Perry says the Highway patrol and state DCI assisted.
