Brookings County Sheriff’s Office investigates stolen handgun

The Brookings County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the theft of a handgun from a residence east of Arlington.

Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring says it happened sometime late Saturday night or Sunday morning.

The reporting party identified the firearm as a 9mm semi-automatic Shadow System MR-920. The value of the handgun is unknown at this time.

The residence is located near the intersection of 456th Ave and 208th St.
